Art therapy is also occupational therapy or psychiatric occupational therapy. It’s proven to be a literal life-saver in my experience. I’ve heard or read, and deeply believe it works — however it works, that it switches the brain to the other hemisphere, and anxiety, depression and other distressing conditions are alleviated because the brain can’t process that information at the same time.
